Burkerts Energy Saving Solenoid Valve Coils
The valves mentioned above have an outstanding design that enables them to consume up to 80% less energy than traditional solutions. To open the valve, the coil is given a high-voltage pulse that over-excites it and creates the necessary attraction force. After a few milliseconds, the integrated electronics shift to a holding operation mode, saving energy. This technology is particularly suitable for valves that need to remain continuously open, such as gas or tap water safety valves, as well as battery-buffered drain systems.
It’s worth highlighting that these valves experience minimal self-heating, which results in reduced deposits and calcification, and significantly extends their service life. In addition, they operate quietly and meet high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements. The kick-and-drop coil system in solenoid valves saves energy, extends maintenance intervals, and prolongs service life.
